Adrian Thrasher, M.D., Ph.D

Adrian Thrasher, M.D., Ph.D. is a Physician and Professor of Pediatric Immunology at University College London Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOSH) in the UK, and a scientific co-founder and advisor of NV Therapeutics.

Adrian is a former Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow and NIHR Senior Investigator Emeritus. Over 25 years, he has built a world-leading clinical gene therapy program at GOSH, pioneering treatments that restored immune function in children with severe combined immunodeficiency. A recognized leader in pediatric immunology and gene therapy, he has led landmark clinical trials and fostered major national and international collaborations. In 2015, he co-founded Orchard Therapeutics to advance transformative genetic therapies for rare diseases. His contributions to the gene therapy field have been honored with leadership roles in professional societies and lifetime achievement awards from both the European and British Societies for Cell and Gene Therapy.
