Giorgia Santilli, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in Gene Therapy at the University College London (UCL) Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOSH) in the United Kingdom and a scientific co-founder and advisor of NV Therapeutics.

Giorgia has over 20 years of experience in cell and gene therapy research and development, with a career focus on advancing genetic therapies for inherited blood and immune disorders. As a researcher at UCL and the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children, she has contributed to the clinical translation of gene therapies for Chronic Granulomatous Disease and Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency. She leads a research group focused on lentiviral gene therapy and genome editing for monogenic diseases, with an emphasis on improving therapeutic safety, efficacy, and durability. Giorgia completed her scientific training at Imperial College London and the University of L’Aquila.
